Please register in advance to receive the meeting link to join one of our virtual public meetings, held on Zoom
The Planning Department is excited to host two public meetings (both with identical content). During these virtual meetings staff will share a summary of what is in our Action Plan, including draft recommendations to improve Boston’s development review process.
We encourage you to review our Action Plan and share your feedback by November 20, 2024 through one of these three options:
Interpretation will be available in Spanish, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Cape Verdean Creole, Haitian Creole, and Vietnamese. Additional languages are available upon request at no cost to you. Please request interpretation services no later than 5 days before the meeting date. How and Why is the Development Review Process Changing?
The Planning Department has often heard from community members, developers, and even staff that the Article 80 development review process can be complicated and unpredictable. Mayor Wu’s vision for development is to shape growth that furthers the City’s goals of resilience, affordability, and equity through a process that is more transparent and predictable. To achieve this vision, the Planning department has been working with community members and other stakeholders over the past year to modernize the development review process.
