Aerial Photos

Governmental agencies—such as the United States Geological Survey (USGS), MassGIS, and the City of Boston—create aerial surveys for planning and analysis. In this group, we have combined individual images into metropolitan aerials that date back as far as 1938. The 1952 aerials are especially detailed as they were made by directly scanning the photo negatives.
