Project Description
The Existing Garage consists of a 3-story structure containing approximately 300 parking spaces. The office portion of the Proposed Project involves the construction of a maximum 230,000 gross square feet structure to be built on top of the Existing Garage with retail or gallery space at the corner of Herald Street and Harrison Avenue. The Proponent proposes to convert the Previously Approved Project, which is currently under construction, from office to laboratory/research and development uses, reflecting the growing market demand for such uses in Boston. In order to accommodate the change in use, the NPC Project includes improvements to mechanical systems and to loading to support the laboratory use as well as some minor architectural changes.
