Description:

The City of Boston, the Convention Center, Massport, and MassDOT have joined together to develop a Sustainable Transportation Plan that supports the 21st century South Boston Waterfront area and defines and prioritizes transportation system investments needed over the next two decades. A great deal has changed in the area since the last comprehensive study was completed in 2000. The South Boston Waterfront Sustainable Transportation Plan is charged with developing a plan for the future that has the following goals:

  • Improve access and mobility for all
  • Support economic growth and vitality
  • Reinforce sustainable policies and programs
  • Enhance the public realm
  • Contribute environmental and health benefits
  • Invest smartly for the future
Community participation is critical in developing a vision for the future. Please join us at a community meeting on May 7, 2014 at 6:00 PM at the Boston Convention Center to hear more about the project and learn how you can participate.
