Description:
The Boston Planning & Development Agency (BPDA) and the Boston Transportation Department (BTD), in conjunction with other city departments will host a public design charrette on March 21, 2017 to receive focused public feedback on the proposed Bulfinch Triangle Transportation Improvements, which is an immediate action item recommended in the North Station Area Mobility Action Plan (NSAMAP).
As noted previously, this charrette follows the public meeting held in January at which the project team presented the full draft action plan for public comment. The charrette will focus on ideas for solving pedestrian, shuttle bus, and vehicular challenges within the Bulfinch Triangle. Two sessions of the charrette will be made available, 12–2 PM, and 6–8 PM. The same materials will be presented for consideration at both times.
The NSAMAP, announced in November 2015, will develop both a range of near-term and longer-term implementable solutions for the improvement of transportation in areas adjacent to North Station, including the Bulfinch Triangle, the TD Bank Garden, Charles River Park, the Brook Courthouse, Nashua Street, and Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH).
Anyone wishing to attend the charrette should note: the 12 PM–2 PM session will take place at The Causeway, 65 Causeway Street, 2nd Floor. The 6 PM–8 PM session will take place in the Community Room of the Amy Lowell House located at 65 Martha Road.
