Description:
Please note: this meeting has been postponed and will be rescheduled. Notice of a new date and time will be posted as soon as possible.
The BPDA is continuing to work on the Long Wharf Coastal Flood Resilience Planning and Feasibility Study. We have now completed initial site research and fact-finding engagements, established the basis of design, developed early conceptual design alternatives and gathered initial stakeholder input on the proposed options.
This workshop will present alternative designs to the broader community and seek feedback on the proposed options. In particular, we will invite input on how the proposed resilient design alternatives could best contribute to open space priorities, improved amenities and water-dependent uses, as well as protection of cultural assets and critical infrastructure on Long Wharf. This input will enable us to further refine and advance the proposed schemes and move towards the final stages of the project such as cost-benefit analysis, permitting and implementation strategy. This is a follow-up to the introductory
workshop held on January 31, 2024, which can be viewed
here.
