One Saturday, March 6th, 2010 Mayor Menino and BRA Officials celebrated the opening of The Shops at Riverwood's inaugural tenants, and highlighted the collaborative effort between the community, City Hall, and the development team. The Shops at Riverwood was redeveloped by The Mackin Group and Finard Properties, this 100,000+ square-foot shopping center development is the result of an extensive community process. The community was invited to vote on the name of the center, which comes from combining area street names: “The Shops at Riverwood.”
