Celebrate Solar with BRA Director Peter Meade and Chief of Environment and Energy Brian Swett

BRA Director Peter Meade and Chief of Environment and Energy Brian Swett will celebrate solar power in Boston with a special announcement regarding Solarize Mass – Boston and a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the project site to commemorate the completion of the Dry Dock Building Photovoltaic Project, a unique partnership in collaboration between the City of Boston and Broadway Renewable Strategies.
Solarize Mass – Boston, a partnership between the city of Boston and the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center, is a summertime campaign to make solar more affordable and easily accessible for the city’s homeowners.
Broadway Renewable Strategies, Millennium Partners, the BRA, and Satcon collaborated on the 568 kW project as part of Mayor Menino’s Solar Boston Initiative, which aims to increase by 2015 Boston's solar energy system capacity to 25 megawatts (MW) .
A tour of the Dry Dock Building PV project will be conducted after the speaking program.
