Make Boston Shine
Apr 05, 2013
Thousands will hit the streets for Mayor Menino’s community cleanup: Boston Shines! Friday, April 26, and Saturday, April 27.
This is our 11th year. Last year, 6,500+ volunteers broke the attendance record. Let's break it again! Sign up your company, your organization, family and friends to help beautify our city.
Paint a sidewalk or a community center. Plant flowers. Repair signs. Sweep, rake and pick up trash (see Mayor Menino setting a great example!).
Do your part. Sign up a group or as an individual. If you can't join us on Friday, April 26 and Saturday, April 27, Boston Shines is year round.
Submit your photos and stories on Twitter by tagging #BostonShines.
“Boston Shines is a great way for residents and local businesses to give back to their community. Our goal this year is to have more volunteers, repaint more crosswalks, repair more signs, and plant more flowers than ever before to get our City ready for the spring and summer.” - Mayor Menino
