BPDA opens nominations for Morrissey Boulevard Community Advisory Committee
Jun 03, 2020
Please note the submission deadline has been extended to Friday, July 17.
The Boston Planning & Development Agency (BPDA) is seeking nominations for the Morrissey Boulevard Community Advisory Committee (CAC) to review the development proposals for both the Bayside Mixed Use Development and 75-77 Morrissey Boulevard in Dorchester. Using the Columbia Point Master Plan as a launching point, the CAC will work with the BPDA to address potential mobility, connectivity, open space, and climate resilience impacts in a coordinated manner, and ensure both proposals are appropriately scaled to future infrastructure improvements.
The CAC will include individuals of all ages, representing neighborhood residents, businesses owners, community organizations and advocacy groups, planning, design and real estate professionals, as well as other stakeholders. Nominations will be solicited from individual stakeholders, community organizations, civic groups, and local elected officials.
The role of the CAC in these upcoming BPDA development review processes will be that of an Impact Advisory Group, which is assembled for all development proposals that trigger Article 80B Large Project Review. In addition to reviewing the projects, the CAC will advise the BPDA in identifying potential project impacts and determining the appropriate mitigation.
Online nomination forms are available here in English, Cape Verdean Creole, Spanish, and Vietnamese. The BPDA has extended the submission deadline to Friday, July 17. Nomination forms can also be mailed to Ted Schwartzberg at the Boston Planning & Development Agency, One City Hall Square, 9th Floor, Boston, MA 02201.
