BPDA opens applications for $60,000 of community benefits funding secured through public process for 463 West Broadway in South Boston

Oct 22, 2020

The Boston Planning & Development Agency (BPDA) is now accepting applications for approximately $60,000 of community benefits funding, which was secured through the Article 80 process for 463 West Broadway in South Boston.

Funding will be prioritized for applicants whose services benefit local residents, with an emphasis on residents of South Boston. To be eligible for this community benefit funding, an applicant must be a non-profit operating in Massachusetts and/or an organization that has identified a local non-profit as its fiscal agent. All awards will be subject to BPDA Board approval.

Following a thorough community process, the BPDA Board approved 463 West Broadway in 2019. The project will bring a 65,282 square foot building containing 44 residential units, 6 of which are income-restricted. As part of the community process, the BPDA secured a $60,000 contribution from the developer that would be used to benefit the surrounding community.

Interested and eligible applicants are encouraged to apply by Wednesday, November 18 at 5:00 PM.
