Opportunity for community benefits from South Bay project now available for application
Nov 15, 2024
Up to $140,000 available for local nonprofits
The Planning Department announced that Dorchester nonprofits have the opportunity to apply for community benefits from the South Bay development project. The total amount of funding that will be allocated to multiple awardees is $140,000. This funding is a result of the BPDA’s approval of the project in 2016. This approval resulted in the execution of a cooperation agreement resulting in the community benefits commitment.
Applicants are required to submit a plan that describes how the organization will utilize the community benefits funding to benefit the Dorchester neighborhood and produce the greatest measurable impact on the community. All awards will be subject to BPDA Board authorization and chosen applicants will be required to enter into a grant agreement with the BPDA. Applications are due December 10, 2024.
