On July 6th, 2006 the Proponent filed a Project Notification Form proposing a mixed-use project consisting of 118 units of varying housing styles and programs with new construction and adaptive reuse of all campus existing buildings including approximately 11,000 sq ft of retail space and 150 enclosed and surface parking spaces, a community space to be located within the Church, and open space with approximately 1-acre of landscaped green space. On July 26, 2006 the Proponent agreed to extend the public comment period to Friday September 8, 2006 The Blessed Sacrament campus is located at 361-365 Centre Street, in the Hyde Square area of Jamaica Plain. The site is bounded by Creighton Street to the west, Sunnyside Street to the north and Westerly Street to the east and Centre Street to the South. The Blessed Sacrament campus is 3.11 acres.

Community Advisory Committee: The Blessed Sacrament Community Advisory Committee (BSCAC) is made up of residents, business owners, community organizations, and professionals. Mayor Thomas M. Menino appointed the BSCAC on May 22nd to review and guide proposed development by the Jamaica Plain Neighborhood Development Corporation and the New Atlantic Development Corporation at the Blessed Sacrament Site. The BSCAC will be responsible for assisting the BRA with review of development scenarios, urban design, transportation impacts, and mitigation during the Article 80 review process.
