Boston’s historic Long Wharf is three acres of public open space on the downtown waterfront, extending State Street eastward to Boston Harbor. The Wharf is owned and operated by the Boston Redevelopment Authority (“BRA”). This Project Site is located at the easternmost end of the Wharf. Due to the site’s exposure to the Harbor’s predominant wind and wave action, impacts generated by the City’s water transportation hub, and by inundation and subsidence caused by rising seas, seawall repairs are necessary.
