Randi Lathrop Receives Award from Fenway Alliance

Randi Lathrop, the BRA's Deputy Director of Community Planning, has been honored with the Fenway Alliance Celebrates Exceptional Spirit (FACES) Award.  The annual award is given to extraordinary professionals with exceptional spirit who work in the Fenway Cultural District to cultivate a cultural environment that merges both the historical and contemporary elements of the Fenway into a welcoming and creative experience for all residents.  Randi was chosen for her work in creating an urban space which provides creative experiences that are culturally relevant, aesthetically engaging, and contribute to the economic vitality of the Fenway Cultural District. Randi Lathrop, Deputy Director of Community Planning at the Boston Redevelopment Authority A neighborhood visionary, Randi Lathrop has dedicated more than 20 years to developing and sustaining the economic vitality of the 1.4-mile district along Washington Street in the South End and Lower Roxbury.  She also successfully oversaw the rezoning and planning of the East and West Fenway neighborhoods, and is currently working on revitalizing the Downtown Crossing area of Boston.
