BRA Director Introduces Walgreens to Downtown Crossing Stakeholders

On the heels of the announcement that Walgreens is opening its newest flagship store in Boston, BRA Director Peter Meade and Michael Murphy of the Clarendon Group hosted a Meet and Greet with  Walgreens Vice President, Dave White, and Walgreens District Pharmacy Supervisor, Mike Godek, to share the store's concept with Downtown Crossing property owners, businesses, residents, and stakeholders.  Neighbor and owner of Sweet Bakery, Courtney Forrester, hosted the gathering. Walgreens will open its 24,000 SF flagship store this fall at 10-24 School Street.  Boston will be only the 3rd city in the nation to be home to Walgreens upscale concept. Check out a video, best viewed with Windows, featuring Chicago's flagship Walgreens store, courtesy of Walgreens.   • Look Boutique Salon with virtual makeovers, skin analysis, premiere cosmetics, and a "Fragrance Bar"

    • Expanded natural and organic sections containing fresh fruits, vegetables, wraps, sandwiches, and salads made daily
