Design Furniture for Fort Point Channel

Enter the Street Seats Design Challenge, an international design competition in public art! Contestants will build sustainable, outdoor sidewalk furniture for the Boston Harborwalk.  Semi-Finalists receive a grant to fabricate their design; the entries will become public art installations for a walking tour along the Fort Point Channel Harborwalk from April 2013 - October 2013.  All entries will be displayed at Design Museum Boston’s Innovation Gallery at Factory 63 in Fort Point.  Register for the challenge and start designing! The City of Boston's Pilot Fort Point Channel Watersheet Activation Grant Program funds Street Seats.  The Pilot Grant Program provides financial resources for capital improvements and public programming within and along Fort Point Channel as envisioned in the City of Boston’s Fort Point Channel Watersheet Activation Plan.  Funding for the Pilot Grant Program is from the Chapter 91 Waterways Regulations License for Atlantic Wharf.
