Census Data Training Is in Demand

There has been a swell of interest in the free training being offered by the BRA and US Census Bureau on their interactive census data tools. Fourteen non profits, institutions, and media outlets have signed up since the mid-October announcement to learn how they can access Boston’s most current demographic and economic data.
The hour long workshops focus on the web based tools developed by the BRA and US Census to access 2010 Census and American Community Survey data. Participants will learn how to use:
This data can be useful for grant applications, planning and business development, fundraising, analyzing potential barriers in implementing programs, research, and marketing strategies.
There's still time for nonprofit organizations, for profit organizations, neighborhood groups, and media outlets to request a free hands-on workshop to learn how to use interactive web tools created by the BRA and the Census Bureau to access 2010 Census and American Community Survey data.
