Digital efficiency and equity through telecom utilidors and city shadow conduit that increase ease of access for both constituents and future technologies.

ACTIVATION THRESHOLD:

Project size exceeds 1.5 million GSF, or resides alongside at least a half-mile of roadway

Fiber and Telecom Equity expands availability of digital resources throughout Boston with the implementation of telecom utilidors, fiber conduit, and fiber shadow conduit. WIdespread access to digital platforms creates a more equitable Boston by decreasing digital divide.

The technologies that fall under the umbrella of Fiber and Telecom Equity are as follows:

Utilidors that consolidate telecommunications conduit Effective Emergency Management response Energy saving education and awareness programs Grid Interactive Buildings and Demand Response
